Jordan Kirtley
Marketing ManagerJordan Kirtley is an artist and designer native to Wichita. Jordan graduated from Wichita State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in studio art and a minor in entrepreneurship. Since January 2014, she has held various roles at KMUW until finding the perfect fit as Marketing Manager. More casually she is known as KMUW’s “in-house artist,” having designed the many facets of KMUW’s visual identity.
In 2020 Jordan began writing and voicing Next Up, a local events commentary for which she and producer Fletcher Powell were awarded first place for public service announcement in 2021 by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters.
In her free time, which is rare as a new mom, Jordan makes artwork with whatever media currently interests her. She’s pursuing, albeit slowly, an animation degree through WSU’s Media Arts program. Her artwork has been exhibited at CityArts, Wichita State University, Friends University and Mark Arts. She has served on the volunteer alliance for the Ulrich Museum of Art, and is currently a member of the WSU Art and Design Advocates board.
Jordan can be reached by email at kirtley@kmuw.org.

It’s time for a change. Next Best Thing was intended to be a limited-run commentary focused on ways to stay connected digitally during stay-at-home orders. It will continue on, but as a public service announcement about local events, and we’re calling it Next Up.
