We are a group of individuals practicing cultivation of the mind. All ages and people are welcome. Each week we have a thirty minute guided meditation followed by discussion. Our topics include meditation practice and living a life of compassion and contemplation. You do not need to have any experience to join and you will be welcomed by a very loving group of individuals. This is not a religious gathering. Please join us if you could use an hour of deep relaxation!

DISENCHANTED! at Roxy’s Downtown DIS!-arms the fairy tale script as Snow White and her royal renegade princess posse take the stage to set the record straight.

Join these leading ladies as they DIS!-mantle the damsels in DIS!-tress typecasts, belt out powerhouse numbers and share the hilarious, not-so-DIS!-neyfied truth about their lives beyond the storybook.

Sharp, satirical, and wildly entertaining, this musical comedy is a laugh-out-loud night out that proves there’s far more to these princesses than crowns and corsets.

How It Works
Collect your bingo card from Watermark Books & Café or Love of Character. In-store or online.
Get reading and be sure to mark off the corresponding squares on your bingo card.
Once you’ve hit bingo (5 boxes in a horizontal. Vertical. Or diagonal line.) Bring your card into the store and exchange it for a completion prize!
Your completed card will then be entered into a drawing for a grand prize!
Extra Credit: Feel like earning a few more entries? A full card (All 25 squares filled in) will be entered into the grand prize drawing 5 times!

All completed children's cards will receive a prize for turning in the card, and will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing!

Each age bracket will have a Grand Prize winner, which is a tote with a gift card to Love of Character and to Watermark Books & Cafe, with additional goodies!

Participants are encouraged to enter as many bingo cards as they wish. However, completion prizes will only be awarded upon the first entry. Completion prizes may vary, and certain items will only be available while supplies last.

All entries must be returned to Watermark Books & Café or Love of Character by 3 pm on August 31st, to be eligible for the grand prize drawing. No purchase is necessary to participate. If you have any questions, please email us at books@watermarkbooks.com

Special guest: Marie Taylor is a local art educator for Haysville Middle School in Haysville, KS. She loves to explore mix media and many different art modalities, both 2-D and 3-D in form. Marie has published illustrations and exhibits work locally at Gallery 12 Wichita. In her free time, she enjoys dance performances (Salsa & Bachata) as part of Baila Wichita’s performance team.

Join us for engaging stories and related activities that make works of art come to life for young learners and their caregivers during StoryTime in the galleries on the first Friday of each month. Each program weaves together a children’s book, focused art looking at an artwork or exhibition, and a featured guest who brings energy through performance, music, movement, and creative play. Join us at KU School of Medicine-Wichita for a First Friday exhibit of "Photoworx 2026" by Photoworx & Friends, a collective of 12 Kansas photographers – friends through photography sharing images of their world.

The First Friday opening reception is from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at KU School of Medicine-Wichita West Atrium. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. The display, which will be in the William J. Reals Gallery of Art-East and West, will run through September.

The public entrance is the patient entrance on the east side of the building (1001 N. Minneapolis). Parking is available in the visitor parking lot or on Minneapolis Street.

The William J. Reals Gallery of Art is free and open to the public. Regular business hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
