Pint Night

KMUW, Wichita’s NPR Station, has launched a new monthly event to engage with listeners and the community: Pint Night. Once a month, KMUW invites the public to a local brewery or bar to have a beer with KMUW staff and other public radio listeners. The inaugural event will be on Wednesday, March 19 from 5:30 - 7 pm at Central Standard Brewing, 156 Greenwood in Wichita.
There’s no agenda. Just an opportunity for a beverage and fine conversation. The evening is buy-your-own.
“There are so many polarizing issues in the world today that we want to host something to bring people together and just enjoy visiting. KMUW is committed to telling the stories of Wichita and south central Kansas to the world, and this will give us a chance to talk to public radio fans about it or whatever’s on their minds,” says Debra Fraser, KMUW’s general manager. “As part of our ongoing effort to support local business and foster conversation and ideas, we felt that holding a monthly gathering like Pint Night would allow us to do both.”
KMUW will host Pint Night at a different brewery or restaurant every month for the rest of the year. Each gathering will be on Wednesdays around the middle of each month. The dates have been set, and locations—which will change each month—will be announced about a month prior to the event on this page.
