Newton Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra.
The community orchestra for Newton, Harvey County, and the surrounding area since 1956. NMKSO presents classical music performed by local musicians. Our Spring Family concert - Beats, Beethoven and Blockbusters includes favorites for the whole family! Featuring some of Journey's biggest hits, selections from the Harry Potter franchise and twists on favorite Beethoven classics.

Come enjoy Boiler Baked Potatoes with your choice of toppings, a garden salad and homemade cobblers. Live entertainment will be provided. Paul Oberg will perform Irish folksongs. The event space is handicap accessible. Suggested Donation: $10 (kids under 12, $5).

17 years ago ICT Roller Girls was formed. It was 2006 and roller derby was making its comeback across the US. Merely two years after the league was founded ICT had more than forty skaters. Thus sprouting the A team (the All Stars) and the B team (Havoc). ICT Roller Girls had played both locally and throughout the US, even hosting the WFTDA Division 2 playoffs in 2016. After a simple, but necessary, rebranding in 2017 ICT Roller Girls officially changed to ICT Roller Derby to be more inclusive.

Throughout the years, the league has seen its share of high numbers of league members as well as low. However, once COVID hit, the entire sport (like the rest of the world) had been put on hold. Changing the whole dynamic of the league, ICT had to rebuild from the ground up. After only 3 original members from ICT remained, it was time to take a long look at what keeping the league alive and thriving meant.
We felt it was time for another rebranding because we are a (mostly) totally new team. We are formed from fresh faces with opportunities to grow. We are an all genders, all ages, all experience levels team. We are new and excited to be here in Wichita.

In a tiny Kansas town where the Little Miss Moonshine pageant is taken very seriously, longtime rivals Etta Lou Hatfield and Lula May McCoy are locked in a fierce battle for a historic tenth crown. Their obsession pulls in family members, sparks outrageous schemes, and turns rehearsals into full-blown showdowns. But when the pageant’s rules, and secrets, are flipped upside down, an unexpected contestant takes center stage.

A thrilling rock opera based on the last week of Jesus’ life, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 50 years. The musical is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.

Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire.

Live Improv Comedy at Flying Pig Improv! Join us for laughs and completely unscripted theater from our newest house troupe, Clockwork! GHP presents William Shakespeare’s HAMLET March 19-22! This gripping suspenseful production, directed by Phil Speary and led by professional actors* Joseph Urick as Hamlet and Mark Mannette, runs Thursday through Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 7 pm. Seating for this powerful theatre experience is limited. Others in the cast include Mary Tush Green, Joe Parrish, Karen Harpenau, Owen Balman, Erin Polewski, Dan Schuster, Jacob Steward, Jerry Wehry, Christopher Sharkey, Jeremy Buoy, Kristin Moody, Robert Brining, Emily Redfield, and Beckett Clark.
