Classical Revolution ICT is a local music collective dedicated to bringing classical music beyond traditional concert halls and into the community. Come listen to their story and their music.

The mid-terms are near. Drop by Evergreen between October 15 and November 2nd and cast a vote for your favorite book character. For ages 4-11.

Derby Arts Council: Veteran Art Show at the Derby Public Library

The exhibit is set to run Aug. 31 through Oct. 22 and will collect works from veteran artists across all mediums (fiber arts, photography, painting, metalwork, etc.) to be shown in the Gathering Space Gallery and display case at the library entrance.

As part of the exhibit, there will be awards up for grabs, with Aug. 4 the deadline to submit entries. There will also be a public reception — and awards presentation — for the exhibit on Sept. 18.

Quilts Etc. Sale offers all sizes and styles of quilts for sale in addition to many other "fabric" items such as wall hanging, place mats, table runner, holiday decor and baby items. There is no admission and parking is off Topeka Street. A coffee shop with baked goods will be on the premises. The Sale is Oct 15-17. On Saturday the hours are 9 am to 12 pm.

Submission to the USD259 Student Art Gallery is coordinated by Wichita Public Schools. Entries are selected by participating teachers, and individual students should contact their teacher for participation details.
