A thrilling rock opera based on the last week of Jesus’ life, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 50 years. The musical is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.

Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers and the Roman Empire.

Tulipfest is Botanica’s biggest, boldest spring celebration—a month-long burst of blooms and beauty. Thousands of tulips paint the Gardens in every shade imaginable, pathways sparkle with seasonal magic, and every turn invites you to stop, smile, and snap a photo. Have you ever wondered about the history behind the artwork inside the Allen House? Come experience an in-depth look at examples of Elsie Allen’s art collection!

Elsie was a major art collector and advocate in Wichita. She owned over 400 pieces of art at the time of her death. This tour will explore original pieces of art that are exhibited in the home. This tour focus is on the artwork but will also include a “mini-tour” of the home. Tour length is approx. one hour. This is a walking tour throughout the home and stairs must be navigated.

Breaking Barriers is an evening of contemporary ballet. The production will feature two works: one inspired by the Dockum Sit-In that explores systems of power, resistance, and collective change through movement, drawing on Wichita’s history and lived experience, and one honoring the influential women in Wichita’s history whose leadership and courage helped shape our community.

Featuring choreography by guest artists Yusha-Marie Sorzano and Sandra Parks, this production examines how persistence, perseverance, and presence can challenge long-standing structures and move change forward.
