KMUW is listener-supported public radio. 60% of our funding comes from KMUW listeners who became members. Whether you're here to make a donation or learn more, you're in the right place.

Even more ways to support KMUW are listed below. If you are interested in supporting KMUW as a business sponsor, click here for more information.

Sometimes helping is as easy as... shopping. Seriously.

If you already shop at Amazon, a percentage of your purchase amounts could come directly to KMUW. And this can be accomplished in these easy steps:

First, click on this link to select KMUW as your charity. It lists the charity as Wichita State University Foundation, but KMUW receives 100% of the monies donated through AmazonSmile at this link.

KMUW is part of the Dillons Community Rewards program, and you can help just by shopping at Dillons.

As a Dillons Plus Card holder, you can register your card with Community Rewards and then choose KMUW as your reward recipient. Every time you purchase groceries with your Plus Card, Dillons will reward KMUW by donating a portion of your purchase to the station.

Many local companies have matching gift programs to encourage employees to give back to their community. If your employer offers a matching gift program, you could potentially double the contribution you make to KMUW.

To find out if your employer matches donations, click here and search for their name. If your employer is on the list, don’t forget to pick up the form in your HR Department. It’s a little work, for a lot of benefit!

Georgia and Keith Stevens, center, support KMUW through IRA Charitable Rollover.

You may be looking for a way to make a big difference to help further our mission.  If you are 70 ½ or older you may also be interested in a way to lower the income and taxes from your individual retirement account (IRA) withdrawals. An IRA Charitable rollover is a way you can help KMUW continue our work.

Congress reinstated a law that allows you to make a tax-free gift from your IRA.  This law no longer has an expiration date so, in most cases, you are free to make annual gifts to us from your IRA this year and well into the future.

Play a leadership role in the future of KMUW.

A gift of $1,200 ($100/month) or more makes the news and programming that are hallmarks of KMUW possible. Whether you contribute a single gift or multiple gifts totaling $1,200 or more during your annual membership year, you will join an elite group of KMUW’s most steadfast and generous donors who demand a high standard of excellence.

Build a Personal Legacy and Support KMUW with Planned Giving

Great Journalism is a Gift. Pass It On.

Planned gifts are once-in-a-lifetime gifts, ultimately making a lasting, positive influence for public radio. If you are a contributing member of KMUW, a planned gift such as a bequest or beneficiary of your retirement account may be your next step in providing for KMUW’s growth – now and in the future.

The KMUW Technology Fund was established by CybertronIT with a generous gift of top quality technology to support expanded news coverage. Business and individual donors can choose to contribute directly to the established Technology Fund.

Technology Fund donations finance:

  • proprietary public radio database and software programs
  • field recording equipment for news reporters
  • studio upgrades allowing valuable connectivity with networks such as National Public Radio, Public Radio International, American Public Media and stations across the country.

Donate your car, truck, motorcycle, RV, boat or tractor to KMUW. You'll support our efforts to promote insightful discussions and understanding of the issues and people that shape our world. Your vehicle donation helps provide in-depth, quality news coverage and a more engaged community.

It's as easy as filling out the online vehicle donation form, or call a Donor Support Representative toll-free at 855-KMUW-CAR (855-568-9227).
