La Gran Señora de México

Reventón Promotions and SG Producciones are proud to announce the return to the stage of one of the most beloved and influential figures in ranchera music: Yolanda del Río, “La Gran Señora de México”. Throughout 2026, the legendary performer will tour the United States and Mexico with a show that celebrates more than five decades of artistry and a catalog of hits that have defined generations, singing live with her Mariachi. An unforgettable evening awaits audiences, featuring timeless classics such as “La Hija de Nadie”, “Se Me Olvidó Otra Vez”, “Llorar, Llorar, Llorar” and “UnaIntrusa” — anthems that established Yolanda del Río as a pioneering voice and a symbol of strength for women in Mexican music.

The kid's dash is a fun, untimed dash for our kiddos ages 10 and under. Registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specifically crafted medal for our kids' dash event! (If your child wants to run the kid's dash, and doesn't want the SWAG, they are welcome to run with us on race day for free!)

Submission to the USD259 Student Art Gallery is coordinated by Wichita Public Schools. Entries are selected by participating teachers, and individual students should contact their teacher for participation details.

Art is not only for Art Museums. If a picture is worth a thousand words, it stands to reason that art can tell us a lot about the times and place where it was produced. Local history museums exist to explore time and place.

Featuring works from C.A. Seward, John Noble, Edmund Davison, Birger Sandzen, Bruce McGrew, and more!

On view on the Historical Museum's 3rd Floor, throughout 2026 as part of the ongoing Lois Kay Walls visual art exhibition series produced by the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum.

Come experience dozens of exhibits featuring thousands of artifacts illuminating our unique local history.

Children ages 0-6 will develop literacy skills through active listening, singing, movement, and sharing a love of stories in a group setting. Please note this program will not take place on 10/12 at the Alford location.

Parents/caregivers with children 12-36 months old will enjoy a weekly play session attended by community resource specialists to answer your questions about child development. Space is limited; registration is required for each adult/child pair. Call (316) 261-8500 or visit wichitalibrary.org/events to register. (Registration is for the entire 5 week series of workshops.)
