Enjoy relaxing coloring time. For ages 12-17.

We are a group of individuals practicing cultivation of the mind. All ages and people are welcome. Each week we have a thirty minute guided meditation followed by discussion. Our topics include meditation practice and living a life of compassion and contemplation. You do not need to have any experience to join and you will be welcomed by a very loving group of individuals. This is not a religious gathering. Please join us if you could use an hour of deep relaxation!

Somewhere in deepest space, all hell is breaking loose.

The bloodcurdling terror that began in Alien continues in the horrifying sequel to the smash hit! Sigourney Weaver returns as Warrant Officer Ripley, sole survivor of the massacre that took place aboard the spaceship Nostromo. Now an entire horde of acid-bleeding, metaljawed monsters has come to life, and they are even more vicious than their evil predecessors. It’s up to Weaver and a troop of futuristic soldiers including battle-hardened Michael Biehn (The Terminator), to stop the attack of these blood-thirsty murderers! Aliens is a nightmarish shocker that multiplies the horror of the original film.

This self-guided exhibit explores U.S. immigration through documents, maps, and images, sharing stories of people who came by force or choice and how they shaped the nation.

Children ages 2 and under will develop a love of learning as they sing, dance, and enjoy simple stories. Caregivers will learn tips to encourage their child's early learning development. Please note this program will not take place on 11/27 at the Advanced Learning Library.

Art is not only for Art Museums. If a picture is worth a thousand words, it stands to reason that art can tell us a lot about the times and place where it was produced. Local history museums exist to explore time and place.

The Wichita Toy Train Club is sponsoring their 32nd Annual Toy Train Show on October 24 and 25, 2026 at the Textron Aviation Employee Club 2744 George Washington Blvd. The show is open on Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and on Sunday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. We will have vendors from the tri-state area that are offering their trains and related items for sale. We will also host clubs from the local area to demonstrate their train layouts. Concessions will be avaible on site. The admission is $8 for adults and free for children under 13 years. So bring the kids out for a day of fun.
