Laura Moriarty teaches creative writing at the University of Kansas, and she’s known in the literary world for her novels which happen to be set in Kansas: The Center of Everything, The Rest of Her Life, While I’m Falling, and her 2012 novel, The Chaperone, in which she reimagines the life of silent film star Louise Brooks.
Her latest novel, Sunlight Finds You, is her first without a Kansas connection. Spanning from 1940s to 1960s St. Petersburg, Florida, the book follows Nora, a young woman who falls in love with her schoolmate, Leonard, and the pair find themselves in an entanglement that spans decades and creates a web of secrets.
