The City of Wichita has revealed more details about two development projects totaling $65 million.

The 7-acre Delano Catalyst Site is located on the west bank of the Arkansas River near the future Advanced Learning Library. A citizen-led committee has selected a proposal from the Kansas City-based EPC Real Estate Group to build a $40 million, mixed-use property there.

In College Hill, Wichita-based Uptown Landing has been selected as the finalist to develop property near Hillside and Douglas; the site is located within a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District. The group's proposal includes a $25 million mixed-use, multi-story building with views of downtown Wichita.

Assistant City Manager Scot Rigby says both projects will be presented to the Wichita City Council next Tuesday.

“We're excited to bring these forward. We're excited to propose these to council for consideration," he said at the weekly mayor's briefing Thursday. "If council gives us approval to move forward, we’ll enter into final negotiations with both groups.”

More details about the developments are expected to be released in the council’s agenda Friday.
