Sixty Percent Of Sedgwick County Homeowners Won't Get A Valuation Notice

In an effort to save $40,000 in mailing costs this year, the Sedgwick County Appraiser's office will only mail notices to property owners whose properties have changed in value or classification within the past year.

The office used to send all property owners an update each year, whether or not their property experienced a change.

Even with this change, the office is still mailing 85,000 valuation notices Friday to 40 percent of property owners.

The Appraiser's office says all property owners can view appraisal information for their properties online at www.sedgwickcounty.org.
