Set in New York City in 1980 and '81, Playworld by Adam Ross is a bildungsroman about a child actor named Griffin, who must decide if he wants to continue in this line of work.

Like many coming-of-age stories, Griffin is also dealing with school, young crushes, adults behaving badly, and the many challenges that come with being a teenager.
I recently spoke with Adam Ross about Playworld and how its story rhymes with his own life.
