We’ll remember Peter Green, founding member of Fleetwood Mac, who passed away last weekend at the age of 73. He left the band in the early 1970s, increasingly at odds with personal/spiritual beliefs and mainstream success. He returned to the spotlight in later years with Peter Green’s Splinter Group and is remembered as one of the masters of British blues rock guitar, influencing generations of players from Metallica’s Kirk Hammett to Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, and Irish guitarist Gary Moore, who paid tribute to Green with the 1995 album, Blues For Greeny.
