Bridget Kearney and Benjamin Lazar Davis’ newest collaboration is Still Flying, the result of a 2019 trip to Ghana where the longtime friends collaborated with masters of the gyil and kologo. The result is an album that brings together sensibilities from their respective past work (Lake Street Dive, Cuddle Magic) as well as elements of world music. We’ll hear selections from that release as well as songs from Lake Street Dive’s 2018 LP Free Yourself Up.

Saturday, May 16

We mark the birthday of guitarist Robert Fripp, founding member of progressive rock band King Crimson. We’ll hear Fripp’s work with that band as well as collaborations with Blondie, Daryl Hall, Andy Summers (The Police), Brian Eno, David Bowie and Peter Gabriel, among others.
