Listen for music from Charlie Parr’s self-titled 2019 album as well as Pretend Friend’s Unnatural Currents.

Thursday, January 9

We’ll look back at some of the best reissues and archival releases of 2019 with selections from Alex Chilton, The Replacements and The Beatles.

Friday, January 10

Listen for music from Unwed Sailor’s Heavy Age and Drunken Prayer’s Cordelia Elsewhere.

Saturday, January 11

We’ll hear music from Maria Elena’s Es De Fantasía as well as music from Fuwa Fuwa Music by Miki Moondrops.

Monday, January 13

Listen for selections by Beth Bombara, The Bird and The Bee and more artists featured on our Best of 2019 list. We'll remember Canadian musician and author Neil Peart of the band Rush. Peart, who joined the band in 1974, became the group's primary lyricist and later authored several books, including the travel diary Ghost Rider. He died Tuesday, January 7, at the age of 67 following a year-long battle with brain cancer.

Tuesday, January 14

Released in 1979, Robert Fripp’s Exposure found the King Crimson founder collaborating with Peter Gabriel, Daryl Hall, Phil Collins and Brian Eno. We’ll hear selections from that record as well as from Japan’s 1981 album Tin Drum.

Jedd Beaudoin is host/producer of the nationally syndicated program Strange Currency. He has also served as an arts reporter, a producer of A Musical Life and a founding member of the KMUW Movie Club. As a music journalist, his work has appeared in Pop Matters, Vox, No Depression and Keyboard Magazine.
