Fort Hays Offers Online MBA In The United Arab Emirates

Fort Hays State University

Fort Hays State University is expanding to the United Arab Emirates with a new online graduate business program this fall. The move is part of Fort Hays' continued effort to grow globally.

The program in the United Arab Emirates is being treated as a pilot as Fort Hays looks to offer similar degrees in other countries. Fort Hays is partnering with the Westford Education Group to offer the MBA. University faculty will lead the online courses while Westford will provide on-site tutoring.

"The majority of Kansas wheat is sold abroad. A website can hardly exist without being an international business,” says Mark Bannister, dean of the Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Fort Hays.

Bannister says global business is becoming the standard and expanding helps students both in Kansas and abroad.

The university offers classes to students at two partner Chinese universities — Sias International University and Shenyang Normal University.

For Hays first began offering classes in China in 2000. The university currently has about 3,500 students enrolled there.
