Voters In Andover School District Approve Both Bond Propositions

Andover Public Schools

The Andover Public School District will be moving forward with building new schools, renovations and security upgrades beginning this summer.

Voters passed two propositions worth about $189 million in Tuesday's bond election. Proposition 1 passed with 79 percent of the vote, and Proposition 2 passed with 62 percent of the vote.

The district will build a new high school, a new elementary school and a district swimming pool.

In addition, all schools will get security upgrades to entrances, and six schools will get storm shelters.
