If you see a lot of emergency responders at Eisenhower National Airport Tuesday morning, don’t worry: It’s just a drill.

The Wichita Airport Authority is scheduled to conduct a large-scale disaster exercise involving a commercial aircraft that crashes near a runway and breaks apart on impact.

About 300 officials and volunteers from various emergency management agencies will be responding to the scene north of K-42.

The Federal Aviation Administration requires airports to hold the simulated disaster training every three years.

The drill will begin on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
