SBA Head Makes Stop At Coffeehouse In Wichita

SBA administrator Linda McMahon talks to Reverie Coffee Roasters owner Andrew Gough during a tour of his business in Wichita on Tuesday.

The head of the federal Small Business Administration made a stop in Wichita on Tuesday as part of a nationwide tour.

Linda McMahon visited Reverie Coffee Roasters, which moved into its new location near downtown Wichita about a month ago. McMahon said she’s trying to visit all 68 SBA offices in the U.S. and listen to business owners across the country.

“It’s hard to be an advocate if you don’t know what the issues are," she said.

"How is the regulatory environment impacting businesses? How is the reduction of all those regulations encouraging business growth?”

Her tour is specifically focusing on businesses that have participated in an SBA loan or product.

“I like to get feedback on how that process was, what can we do to make it better,” she said.

McMahon, the co-founder and former CEO of WWE wrestling, was appointed to lead the SBA by President Donald Trump shortly after his election in 2016.
