At Play Theatre Roundup: 11/26 - 12/9

The Wichita State University School of Performing Arts presents She Loves Me , a romantic musical set in the 1930s where two feuding clerks secretly find solace in their anonymous pen pals, not realizing that they are actually writing to each other. She Loves Me is directed by Wayne Bryan.

Wichita Community Theatre continues its run of Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And then some) now through December 23. Three actors bring together a fast, fun and furious look at every Xmas story, movie or TV specials (Beloved Holiday Classics), and all the yuletide traditions we all remember ( and some you never knew) in a whirlwind of word play, props, quick costume changes, and sight gags. This production is directed by Crystal Meek.

Mosley Street Melodrama continues its run of Shakespeare’s MacBethlehem Christmas or Wherefore Art Thou Saint Nick? The play is written by Tom Frye and the show will run through December 30 except December 24 and 25th.

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas continues at Crown Uptown Theatre. A musical that captures the essence of the classic American Christmas, White Christmas is a timeless favorite for audiences young and old alike. The show follows veteran song-and-dance duo Bob Wallace and Phil Davis as they tag along with a pair of beautiful singing sisters to an idyllic Christmas show in snowy Vermont. The show is based on the Paramount Pictures 1954 film of the same name, with a libretto by David Ives and Paul Blake and music and lyrics by Irving Berlin.
