Red Cross To Continue Providing Help To Mulvane Residents Affected By Flood
Some residents in Mulvane are seeking assistance from the American Red Cross after flood waters rose quickly in the area over the weekend.
Dozens of residents have contacted the Red Cross at a service center in Mulvane. Executive director Michelle Jantz says people came into the center talking about how they didn’t expect the flood to move so rapidly.
"You know, they’re just talking about their homes, and the damage that they're seeing, and the personal belongings that are destroyed," she says.
Jantz says the American Red Cross will continue to provide help to those impacted by the flooding.
"If we had residents who were not able to get to the service center that was at City Hall over the weekend and on Monday, they can certainly still reach out to the American Red Cross and get assistance," she says.
Red Cross volunteers from Kansas also continue to help with the relief operation in Louisiana due to the severe floods in the Baton Rouge area.
