Area Schools and Colleges:
Wichita Public Schools, Wichita State University, Cowley College, Wichita Area Technical College, Butler Community College, Newman University, and Friends University (including Topeka and Lenexa campuses) are among the schools that are closed today.
Southwestern College Professional Studies in Wichita will open at 10 am.
Businesses, Transit and Government Agencies:
Wichita Meals on Wheels will not deliver meals today, but they will be delivering meals tomorrow (Thursday.)
Wichita Public Library branches are closed.
Beechcraft is asking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift employees--as well as all non-essential personnel to stay home.
Wichita Transit will only provide medically necessary ADA paratransit trips.
Other Wichita transit routes are running, though some bus lines are on snow routes today.
