Wichita Looks At Reducing Summer Ozone Levels

There are also plans to change the city's daily operations if ozone levels spike. Elevated levels of ozone can cause breathing problems for children and elderly residents who have lung problems.

Augusta Couple Await Sentencing For Illegally Selling Firearms

A husband and wife from Augusta are waiting to be sentenced Monday for illegally selling firearms out of their combined beauty salon and gun shop.

Jeffrey and Tracy Eberhart were charged last year with violating federal firearms regulations. They were charged with selling guns from Dream Weavers Salon and Sporting Goods in Augusta.

Jeffrey Eberhart, a convicted felon, pleaded guilty earlier to selling firearms without a license. His plea deal recommends a five-year sentence.

Tracy Eberhart obtained a federal firearms dealers license, but omitted her husband's name on the application because of his felony record. She pleaded guilty to failure to keep required sales records.

They're scheduled to be sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Wichita.
