Despite Controversy, Jody Adams To Remain At WSU

goshockers.com

Following a completed review of WSU Women's Basketball coach Jody Adams, Wichita State has announced that she will be staying with the Shockers. KMUW's Aileen LeBlanc reports...

Jody Adams' coaching of the team had come into question after the team returned from the NCAA national tournament.

Four players left the program and cited serious issues with Adams' coaching practices.

The recent review, which was ordered by WSU President Bardo, included interviews with current and former players, coaching staff, and parents.

The results itself proved to be conflicting.

The University then decided to bring in a sports psychology consultant, as well as enact other measures to improve the atmosphere and communication.

This all came after the news that Athletic Director Eric Sexton was appointed as Head of Student Affairs. The outgoing head accused Sexton's office of holding back information about an alleged rape by a men's basketball team member in 2013.
