Women’s History Month Feature & Robin Trower/Lloyd Price Birthdays

Crossroads continues its celebration of Women’s History Month with music from Memphis soul artist Ann Peebles, retro soul great Sharon Jones, R&B legend Etta James, blues pioneer Memphis Minnie, and blues and soul singer Maria Muldaur, including a live performance from the Fur Peace Ranch in hour two of the show.

Plus new music from the Rae Gordon Band, Wee Willie Walker, the James Hunter Six, Van Morrison and Albert Cummings.

Chris Heim produces and hosts Global Village, a nationally and internationally distributed world music show; the nightly jazz show Night Train, and Crossroads, KMUW’s twice-weekly blues and R&B show. Chris is also a critic and freelance writer whose work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Utne, Global Rhythm, Dirty Linen, and Option, among others.
