Kira Roessler’s new album, Enigma, is out now via Org Music. Her second solo effort, the record, the album is co-produced by her and her brother, Paul Roessler (Screamers) and features vocal contributions from Petra Haden and drummer Dave Bach.
Drawing inspiration from the grief she experienced after the loss of lifelong friend Glenn Brown (whose playing appears on some of the older recordings heard on Enigma), Roessler has created a powerful and emotional statement that stands as further testament to her singular musical vision.
Roessler’s tenure with the legendary Black Flag is notable for her contributions which saw the band redefining its sound in its final years. Later, she created music with Mike Watt in the bass duo dos. More recently, she has distinguished herself in the world of film and television as a dialogue editor with credits ranging from Mad Max: Fury Road and Game of Thrones to Project Hail Mary.
