Julie Brin

Julie Brin joined KMUW in 2013, nearly two decades after having first volunteered as a board operator during Car Talk and assisting during pledge drives. Her seemingly random positions over the past few decades within the music, higher-learning, and news media industries have come full circle at KMUW … so she says, perhaps they were not so random, after all. Julie’s avocations include music, writing, volunteering with the Wichita Alternative Gift Market, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels (or anything to mentally escape a heavy-news day), and spoiling her rescue pups. Julie is a member of the Wichita Professional Communicators and the Kansas Authors Club. She especially loves Strange Currency and Crossroads, but enjoys all of KMUW’s local programming—and she say, not just because she works here!
