Wrapping Up Wonderfest With The Williams Brothers

used with permission / motown museum

Sunday, May 30

Coming up on Soulsations we’ll round out our Stevie Wonder month-long Wonderfest with more tunes by the legendary performer, including a soulful gospel song with The Williams Brothers and a live version of “My Cherie Amour.” David Ellis from the Motown Museum will share insights about a much-beloved Stevie Wonder artifact.  Also, we’ll share details on open auditions for a Stevie Wonder play. Plus, this week’s DoubleTake features Wonder’s song “As If You Read My Mind,” and covered by Soul-Jazz flautist, Althea Rene.

Carla Eckels is Director of Organizational Culture at KMUW. She produces and hosts the R&B and gospel show Soulsations and brings stories of race and culture to The Range with the monthly segment In the Mix. Carla was inducted into The Kansas African American Museum's Trailblazers Hall of Fame in 2020 for her work in broadcast/journalism.
