U.S. Senator's Son Killed In Plane Crash Near Tulsa

The U.S. Secretary of Defense has confirmed that the son of U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma died this weekend in a plane crash, while en route from Salina to Tulsa.

Perry Inhofe was a 52-year-old orthopedic surgeon for Central States Orthopedics in Tulsa.

He graduated from Duke University in 1984 before attending medical school at Washington University in St. Louis.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the multi-engine plane was about five miles north of Tulsa International Airport when it crashed just before 4pm Sunday.
