Wichita Man Arrested After Threatening Post On Facebook

Sedgwick County Jail

On Sunday, the Wichita Police Department arrested a 28-year-old man involved in what they call a terroristic threat.

The police received many 911 calls, Facebook messages and app notices about a threat of terror and of a possible suicide.

Brendon May "was arrested and booked into jail for one count of terroristic threats," Officer Charley Davidson said during a press briefing.

May's Facebook posts, believed to have contained a photo of a large rifle and some bullets, had caused concern among many.

Police say there was no specific target. May allegedly had a BB gun with him when he was arrested.
