Teacher Travel Scholarships Available For Brown v. Board Of Education National Historic Site

The Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site is offering financial help for teachers bring students to the former school.

Schools within a 75-mile radius of Topeka can apply for transportation grants to cover the cost of getting there. The site tells the story of the U.S. Supreme court decision that declared segregated schools unconstitutional.

The grants also cover travel costs to other Topeka sites: the Kansas State Capitol, which features a mural of the fiery abolitionist John Brown; the Kansas Museum of History, and the Ritchie House.
