Celebrating Stevie Wonder

Sunday, May 10

Stevie Wonder’s birthday is May 13, and Soulsations is celebrating with Wonderfest, featuring music and stories about the iconic singer, songwriter and musician.

Grammy-winning gospel artist Brent Jones shares Stevie’s reaction after hearing Jones’ song on the radio for the first time. Plus, hear a new remake of Stevie’s love ballad “Ribbon in the Sky” by saxophonist Ronnie Laws, featuring Larry Dunn, Debra Laws and Howard Hewett, with Stevie playing his signature harmonica on the track.

This week’s DoubleTake is Stevie Wonder’s “Until You Come Back to Me (That’s What I’m Gonna Do),” which he co-wrote at age 15, and Aretha Franklin’s powerful cover, which became a No. 1 hit.
