Rose has received national awards from the Public Media Journalists Association for her reporting on a Kansas woman’s death and the elevated risk of domestic violence during pregnancy and her investigation into nursing home regulatory concerns. She’s been honored with numerous awards from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters and the Kansas Press Association for her health and politics reporting.
Before joining KMUW, Rose was a producer for the Marketplace Morning Report in Los Angeles, where she helped shape the show’s coverage of wealth and poverty, artificial intelligence, and the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. She grew up in Washington state and is a graduate of Scripps College in Claremont, California.
