Empty Horses is the seventh album from Tobin Sprout, best known for his work with Ohio’s Guided By Voices. We’ll hear selections from it as well as music from Steve Wynn’s new boxed set, Decade.

Cuttin’ Grass Vol.1 is the new record from acclaimed singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson and features bluegrass renditions of songs from across his career. Listen for music from that as well as selections from Bruce Springsteen’s Letter To You.
Thursday, November 5
Spencer Cullum’s Coin Collection finds English-born and Nashville-based musician Spencer Cullum looking back at the English folk revival of the late 1960s as well as the instrumental German music of that decade, often called Krautrock. We’ll hear music from that release as well as songs from Paul McCartney’s solo debut album, McCartney.

Tuesday, November 10
In October 1971, Pink Floyd performed an entire live set in the ruins of an ancient Roman amphitheater in Pompeii, Italy. Though there was no audience, the performance was captured on film and has become a fan favorite across the decades. The group issued the audio from the film in 2016. That same year, former Floyd guitarist David Gilmour performed a concert before a live audience in Pompeii and recorded it for his 2017 release, Live In Pompeii. We’ll hear material from both releases on this episode.
