Released in 1971, Just As I Am is the debut album by late soul singer Bill Withers. Produced by Booker T. Jones, the album is notable for its inclusion of the song “Ain’t No Sunshine,” perhaps Withers’ best-known song. We’ll hear music from that release as well as selections from The Staple Singers and Chicano Batman.

Released in 1976, Frampton Comes Alive! placed former Humble Pie guitarist Peter Frampton on the map as a major solo artist. Having sold over 10 million copies worldwide, it is one of the best-selling live albums of all-time. We’ll hear music from it on this episode as well as selections from Blow Your Face Out, a live album from the J. Geils Band, also issued in 1976.

Tuesday, July 14
Inlet is the first album in 22 years from the band Hum. We’ll hear selections from it as well as songs from the latest by Joe Satriani, Shapefhifting.
