Karma For Cheap In A Big Iron World

Released in 1989, Steady On was the acclaimed debut album from singer-songwriter Shawn Colvin. Colvin recently re-recorded the album as an all-acoustic affair we’ll hear selections from her reimagining of that release as well from Aaron Lee Tasjan’s Karma For Cheap: Reincarnated, his re-imagining of his 2018 set, Karma For Cheap.

Wednesday, September 4

Zed for Zulu is the latest release from Those Pretty Wrongs, featuring Jody Stephens (Big Star) and singer-songwriter Luther Russell. Listen for selections from that effort as well as music from Big Star’s Radio City.

We’ll hear music from Old Crow Medicine Show’s 2006 release, Big Iron World plus selections from Split Lip Rayfield’s On My Way.

Released in 1972, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s Will The Circle Be Unbroken paired the California-founded band with country music veterans such as Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs and Mother Maybelle Carter. Listen for music from that release as well as from Split Lip Rayfield’s In The Mud.
