Released in 1976 Bright Size Life was guitar legend Pat Metheny’s solo debut. Joining him were drummer Bob Moses and bassist Jaco Pastorius. We’ll hear selections from that release on this episode of the show as well as music from Solagget’s 2005 effort, The Delivery.

It’s our New Month, New Music feature with selections from The Crack Pipes, David Lord and David Crosby.

Saturday, November 3

Released in 1993, Counterparts was Canadian rock band Rush’s fifteenth studio album. Influenced by the writings of psychologist Carl Jung, drummer Neil Peart’s lyrics examined interpersonal relationships as well as the impact of AIDS and violent crime. Listen for music from this recording as well as selections from Pearl Jam’s sophomore release, Vs.

Monday, November 5: We’ll hear selections from The World Palestine’s Let’s See Star B as well as The Travel Guide’s Trading A Dream.

We celebrate World Saxophone Day with selections from Morphine, The Replacements, Los Lobos and Bruce Springsteen.

Wednesday, November 7

We’ll celebrate the 75th birthday of Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell with music from her own body of work as well as music from Prince, Sufjan Stevens, Travis and more.

Thursday, November 8

The Eclipse Sessions is the latest release by veteran singer-songwriter John Hiatt. We’ll hear music from that as well as songs by Todd Snider.

Friday, November 9

We’ll hear music from Let It Be, the 1984 release from Minneapolis, Minnesota’s The Replacements, as well as Bob Mould’s 1989 solo debut, Workbook.

Saturday, November 10

Released in 1983, Let’s Dance was David Bowie’s true introduction a new decade and featured three major radio hits, including the titular track. Listens from selections from that recording as well as music from Iggy Pop’s The Idiot.
