Look Now, We’re Here If You Listen

Tuesday, October 23: Look Now is the new release from Elvis Costello and The Imposters and is being hailed as one of Costello’s best recordings in years. We’ll hear selections from that as well as new music from Kurt Vile and his latest, Bottle It In.

Wednesday, October 24: Mass Education is the new release from St. Vincent and follows her 2017 LP Mass Eduction. Listen for music from that recording as well as songs from When It Falls, the new effort from Rachel Eckroth.

Thursday, October 25: Code Word is the new release from Australia’s The Moles and the group’s first since 2016. We’ll hear from that release as well as selections from David Crosby’s latest, Here Is You Listen.

Friday, October 26: Forest Standards is the latest release from guitarist David Lord (Francis Moss, The Wonder Revolution). Listen for music from that as well as from Stand Still, the new album from Sunshine Dreamers.

Saturday, October 27: R.E.M. At The BBC captures the legendary Georgia band recorded for the BBC across nearly two decades. We’ll hear music from that as well as from The Replacements’ 1987 effort, Pleased To Meet Me. We'll also remember songwriter Tony Joe White, who passed on October 25 at the age of 75. White was known for songs such as "Midnight Train To Georgia" as well as "Polk Salad Annie," which was recorded by both Tom Jones and Elvis Presley. In later years, White penned hits for Tina Turner and released his own album, Bad Mouthin' in September of this year.

Monday, October 29: Fog Machine is the new release from power pop band Valley Lodge. The band, which features comedian Dave Hill, is perhaps best known for having recorded the theme song to Last Week With John Oliver, “Go.” Listen for music from that as well as selections from Nebula Rosa’s Bengala.

Tuesday, October 30: In Tandem is the new collection from singer-songwriter Jann Klose. We’ll hear music from it as well as selections from the soundtrack to the film Blaze.

Wednesday, October 31: We celebrate Halloween with music from Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Roky Erickson, Phish and Ghost.
