Non-Profit Will Receive $25,000 Grant To Help Stop Human Trafficking

A non-profit focused on ending human trafficking in Wichita has been awarded a $25,000 grant from State Farm.

ICT S.O.S. will use the money to expand the residential services they provide to young women in need.

Through its partnership with Carpenter Place, the program currently provides six individual apartments for women in crisis ages 18 to 24.

Jennifer White, the non-profit’s founder, says ICT S.O.S. has been working with the Exploited and Missing Children’s Unit to create a secure living space for young women coming out of exploited environments as an alternative to jail, which has often been the only safe place for them.
