Wichita Festivals has unveiled the artwork for Riverfest 2019.
“Downtown Get Down” by Wichita artist Jay Walter will be featured on Riverfest posters, buttons and other merchandise.
Walter said this was the first time he had entered the Riverfest Poster & Button Artwork Contest. He won $4,000 for his winning design.
The 48th annual Riverfest is May 31 through June 8 in downtown Wichita. The nine-day event is expected to draw more than 400,000 people.
A Riverfest button allows a person admission for all nine days.
