Meet The New State Fossils: The Pteranodon And The Tylosaurus

The flying Pteranodon and the sea-roaming Tylosaurus are now the official fossils of Kansas

Gov. Sam Brownback’s has signed the bill designating the prehistoric creatures as official state symbols.

The fossils are remnants of the massive creatures that roamed western Kansas when it was a vast ocean, millions of years ago.
