August 22 – Reading is Badass! Fun-Raiser for United Way Read to Succeed

Program:
Be a champion for reading! Join us for this fun-raiser for the United Way Read to Succeed program and celebrate literacy while we play fun bookish games and win fabulous prizes with special guest Jillian Carroll of KSN’s Good Day Kansas. Learn about volunteer opportunities to help students learn to love reading and how the United Way’s Women United helps make this happen. You just might leave with a book!

About the Organization:
United Way Read to Succeed, powered by Women United®, partners with Wichita Public Schools to pair volunteer reading coaches with second and third grade students who struggle to read. Coaches meet weekly with a student for 30 minutes at their school to listen to them read and provide intervention tactics that put them on the path to success.
