Live Well With Diabetes 2022

“Live Well With Diabetes” gathering brings together all ages of people dealing with the disease, as well as doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and pharmacists who provide healthcare necessary to manage diabetes.

In Wichita, the diabetes diagnosis have been drastically climbing, especially in minority communities. Fortunately, diabetes can be treated, and with the right information, people can live long and well with the disease.

Throughout the day, medical professionals will provide health services including the A1c test to determine if participants have diabetes or are at risk of the disease, lipids screens, blood pressure checks, foot exams, medication evaluations, stress counseling, and more. The exams are available 8 am to 12 pm, while supplies last. The Dillons company will be on site to deliver flu vaccinations and potentially updated Covid vaccines if available.

The day also features updates from area healthcare professionals with news of developments in several areas - including medication updates, cooking demonstrations, strategies for being more active, and what’s new in diabetes.
