Artist Salon Series: A Career in Conservation

Lucinda Linderman, senior conservator for Pacific Coast Conservation, will discuss her fascinating two-decade career as an art conservator for national, public and private art collections.

She holds a Master of Fine Arts in sculpture from the University of Miami, a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Southern Adventist University, and has continued her education through workshops with the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) and The Getty Conservation Institute. She is a professional associate member of AIC and specializes in the conservation of outdoor sculpture.

During her visit to Wichita, Linderman will be conserving Girl with Fawn by Bruce Moore, which was commissioned in 1946 and is located near the entrance of Mark Arts. Moore established the sculpture program in 1932 with Mark Arts’ predecessor, the Wichita Art Association.
