Koch Subsidiary To Buy Texas Electric Facility

A subsidiary of Koch Energy Services has entered into an agreement to buy an electric power generating facility in Texas.

Wichita-based Koch says the company has agreed to buy the facility in Odessa, Texas, from affiliates of Energy Capital Partners. Koch did not disclose the terms of the deal, which requires regulatory approval.

Koch says the 1,055-megawatt facility began operations in 2001 and provides power to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas system, which serves 23 million customers.
