At Play: Tom Stoppard, Andrew Lloyd Weber Productions On Tap

The Crown Uptown Theatre continues its run of Cats. The musical is Broadway’s second longest running show in history and fourth longest running production in London’s West End history. This show is an audience favorite and is composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Cats tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make what is known as “the Jellicle choice” and decide which cat will ascend to the Heavyside Layer and come back to a new life.

The Wichita State University School of Performing Arts presents Hunting a Doe Sept. 25-28 at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 27 & 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Welsbacher Theatre. Hunting a Doe is the winner of the 40th Annual National Playwriting Competition at WSU. The play was written by WSU theatre student, Kyle Dilley and is recommended for mature audiences. This production is directed by Jeannine Russell.

Wichita Center For The Arts presents Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia September 18-22. Arcadia is set in an English country house in both the early 19th century and the present day.

Now through November 2 it’s Mosley Street Melodrama’s Admiral Windwagon and the Halloween Spooktacular Musical Comedy Revue.
