Prospects for Democracy in Central Asia

Electoral revolt, such as the events in Kyrgyzstan, is unusual for former Soviet bloc countries of Central Asia. Martha Brill Olcott, a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, discusses prospects for democracy in the region.
