Earth, Wind & Fire's music has been described as a sophisticated mix of disco, fusion jazz, Africana, soft pop and stoned soul; with a message of peace, spirituality and love. Hear an entire hour of Earth, Wind & Fire on Soulsations this Sunday, October 21, starting at 6 p.m. We'll also hear reflections from EW&F super fan Cheryl Maloney who recounts her chance meeting with EW&F legendary lead singer, Phillip Bailey.

Carla Eckels is Director of Organizational Culture at KMUW. She produces and hosts the R&B and gospel show Soulsations and brings stories of race and culture to The Range with the monthly segment In the Mix. Carla was inducted into The Kansas African American Museum's Trailblazers Hall of Fame in 2020 for her work in broadcast/journalism.
