Plus birthday salutes to saxophonist Cory Weeds and pianist Enrico Pieranunzi, and new releases from Erroll Garner, Bill Evans, the Mike Jones Trio, and Dave Stryker.
Night Train marks birthdays of Great American Songbook lyricist Ira Gershwin (the brother of George) and also of legendary pianist Dave Brubeck tonight with classics from both and a special about Brubeck – Legacy of a Legend – in hour two of the show.
